Research indicates that over 90% of accidents stem from human error, such as the inability to anticipate potential hazards, distractions, and speeding. Tyler Nash employs a vehicle equipped with a passenger brake, enabling students to make decisions in a secure setting while receiving immediate feedback. By encouraging students to actively engage in decision-making and learn defensive driving techniques firsthand, Nash fosters an environment where mistakes serve as valuable learning experiences without compromising safety standards.

Curriculum

Each student's driving experience is unique and personalized, starting at varying tiers based on their individual needs and skills

Tier 5

Understanding the basics of the car and how to correctly locate things such as turn signals, hazard lights, and using the mirrors effectively.  This student will begin driving around parking lots, stopping and starting, turning, and a variety of other driving necessities.

Tier 4:

Students have progressed through Tier 5 and are now ready for backroads, neighborhoods, and one lane roads with stop lights.  This student has demonstrated an understanding of the basic principles but needs more time learning how to stay within the lane and may become anxious driving next to others or making decisions.

Tier 3

Students have shown how they can effectively make decisions while driving. This student will progress to several multilane roads and will drive with others next to their call.  Conquering changing lanes, roundabouts, and in town driving will take place during this progression. Students will also tackle simple highway driving situations with a lower number of vehicles.

Tier 2

Students have shown a broad range of skills with driving.  This driving will consist of more difficult highway skills such as merging and allowing others to merge.  In town driving will require students to switch lanes and heavier traffic requiring better and quicker decision making. Students will also learn the importance of not texting while driving and the adverse effects it can have on their life and the others around them.

Tier 1

Tier 1 are the top drivers. These individuals, not only can make quality decisions on their own, they will be able to locate and drive safely to different places with little to no help.  This type of driving requires students to learn how to  correctly navigate various landmarks throughout the town and understand how to safely mitigate risks while driving.
